Knights of Columbus Flyers begin season with draw against Grande Prairie

The Flyers opened the scoring early in the first period and added a second goal with less than five minutes left in the opening frame.

As the second period got underway the Knights came out strong and tied the game with two goals in a nine second span. The Flyers kept with it however and took the lead in the second period with 2:57 remaining.

Unfortunately for the Flyers they were unable to seal the deal as the third period neared its conclusion. The Knights tied the game with 3:59 remaining and stayed that way through the final whistle.

Scoring for the Flyers were Connor Bowie, Kolton Leslie, and Max Dobson. Helpers went to Connor Kindrat (2), Brayden Leslie, and Max Dobson.

Cale Goulet made 30 saves in the draw.

The next game for the Knights of Columbus Flyers is scheduled for October 3 at the Pomeroy Sport Centre against the Dawson Creek Canucks at 7 p.m.
