In his most recent fight at Fivestar Fight League 12 Lielke defeated Joel Morin by submission in the first round. Training has been going well for Lielke and his coaches are keeping busy by evaluating his opponent.
“Everything seems to be going good. I was in pretty good shape already before camp started and now I’m trying to sharpen up. I have watched a fight of his but I trust them [coaches] to pick apart his game and see if there’s anything that may be advantageous to be doing,” he said.
When it comes to being in the octagon he likes to make sure his game is as balanced as possible so nothing catches him off guard in a fight.
“I stood up in my last fight in Fort St. John for quite a bit of the fight and that didn’t bother me. I work everything. I try and work as much of my game as I can. Mixed martial arts is about being able to fight anywhere. A guy may be an insane wrestler and I might be stuck on the ground on the bottom, or he may use his wrestling to keep it standing. I’m always trying to make sure I have options if something isn’t working,” Lielke explained.
