Local cops cooking up a cause

Local police officers, who are participating in the Tour de North, will be cooking up some fresh hotdogs and hamburgers for community members and the general public.

Tour de North is a fundraising bicycle ride, which starts in Prince George and continues 900 kilometres to Prince Rupert.

“Everyone loves BBQ,” Cpl Jodi Shelkie said. “It’s good food and good times for a good cause.”

All donations are going towards the Canadian Cancer Society, and are being used to fund life-saving research and programs like Camp Goodtimes, which helps reduce its impact on families.

The BBQ will be held Sunday September 7, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
