Speed possible factor in accident on Highway 29

Constable Bernie of the Hudson’s Hope RCMP says police are alleging that speed may have been a factor in the accident, although, witnesses say they don’t believe the truck was going too fast.

“Some witnesses did say it wasn’t going really fast or anything; but as the truck, and maybe the way the load was, it could have been too fast for the truck,” Constable Bernie said.

The driver of the truck was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The incident is still under investigation, but Constable Bernie says the RCMP may lay a charge of speed relative to conditions against the driver.
