The Child Development Centre celebrates 40th anniversary

The CDC was founded in 1973, and Dr. Richard Moody, who sits as the Medical Director for the organization, describes its history the best when he says “it was started by a group of parents who saw a need in the community and were not prepared to accept that it didn’t exist” in the north, and goes on to say, “in true northern spirit” they decided that if it didn’t exist yet, than it needs to be created now.

The development centre will be celebrating their 40th anniversary on September 13th with a formal dinner and dance gala, during which donors, volunteers, partners, families and the history will be honoured.

The event is being held at the Pomeroy Hotel and Conference Centre Ballroom, with tickets still available for $75.00 a piece.

For tickets and to learn more about the centre, contact Penney Gagnon at [email protected] or call 250 785 3200.
