However, Northern Health is not an integral part of the weekly meeting and will be called upon to attend only when deemed necessary.

“If it’s something that includes Northern Heath, we will certainly invite them,” Mayor Lori Ackerman said. “If it’s something that’s a little more community based, they don’t need to be at the table.”

Ackerman adds, “We’re certainly open to bringing in whoever needs to be brought in.”

While the meetings, being held inside Pimm’s office, are not necessarily a public forum, Mayor Ackerman says residents will not be left in the dark.

“I assure you, anything that is a success will be shared.”
