Another local enters Dawson Creek election

The latest candidate is Johanna Kunz, becoming the fifth name on council so far, not including Mayor Dale Bumstead.

The political future of Dawson Creek seems to be one of the most unique, as it stands with Fort Nelson as seemingly the only local municipality with a healthy mix of incumbents and rookies.

Another election of interest is that of Taylor, as two former councillors are going head-to-head for Mayor Fred Jarvis’ seat, who announced his retirement from municipal politics earlier in the year.

Deadline for nomination packages is October 10, with polls opening on November 15.
