Both teams would find the back of the net two more times each as the score was deadlocked at five heading towards the final period.

The Knights came out strong in the third period as the teams returned to the ice. Grande Prairie scored three times in the first 10 minutes to take a comfortable lead. The teams would trade the next two goals before Fort St. John got two late goals to round out the scoring in the contest.
