Dawson Creek opened the scoring just over a minute into the opening frame. They’d increase the lead to two before the Flyers pulled within one. 41 seconds after the Flyers scored however, Dawson Creek restored their two goal lead at 3-1.

As the second period got underway Fort St. John again closed to within a goal as they found the back of the net 1:35 into the stanza. Dawson Creek once again had an answer as they went up 4-2 1:25 later. The Canucks added two more goals to take a commanding 6-2 lead heading into the final 20 minutes.

Both teams traded goals in the third period.

Scoring in order for the Flyers were Connor Bowie, Aiden Craig-Steele, and Kolton Leslie. Assists went to Aiden Craig-Steele, Connor Bowie, and Logan Kimmie.

The Flyers will try again for their first win of the season tonight as they take on Whitecourt this afternoon at the Pomeroy Sport Centre at 2:15 p.m.
