New council nomination for Taylor puts the number of candidates at two

The new candidate is Dave Lueneberg, who joins Councillor Betty Ponto as a potential member of the new Taylor City Council.

Come November 15, Taylor is guaranteed a new mayor, as the current mayor, Fred Jarvis, announced his retirement from municipal politics earlier in the year.

At this point, the two potential mayors are Councillor Brad Filmer and Robert Fraser, who served in Taylor Council prior to 2011.

There’s three more days for councillors and members of the Peace to enter into the Municipal Elections before Friday’s deadline.
