It was a great showing by the Flyers as they played a crisp offensive game. Head coach Gerard Dicaire was happy with what he saw from his squad throughout the duration of the contest.

“The boys came out skating well and moving the puck and chipping pucks and forechecking. You have to give credit to their goalie they did paint his chest black a little bit. We did have some lapses but overall it was good.” he stated.

All four lines c0ntributed on the score sheet in the game, and former Fort St. John Huskies, now first year Flyers Taylor Greatrex and Cole Calliou both found the back of the net.

“We had all four lines going. We rode everybody through and it was good to see guys getting goals. It was a matter of time I think when we potted one [in the third] they were going to come. Guys were misfiring a bit but it was good.” Dicaire said.

Scoring in order for the Flyers were Joey Massingham, Jeff Fast, Taylor Greatrex, Jeff Shipton, Cole Calliou, and Luke Middleton.

Game two of the exhibition series with Fort Nelson goes this afternoon from the North Peace Arena at 1 p.m.
