Trackers sweep weekend set against Fort McMurray

In Saturday’s tilt the teams were tied after 20 minutes, and the Trackers found themselves with a 3-2 lead after the second. The third period was the difference in the contest as the team put up four goals to round out the scoring.

Goal scorers in the game were Tyler Krane, Mathew Apsassin, Jacob Lang (2), Dustin Bahm (2), and Nolan Lagace.

Sunday’s game required the Trackers to play from behind as in the first period they surrendered three goals and trailed 3-1. The squad responded with a solid middle frame as they scored three goals to lead 4-3. They increased their lead to 6-3 in the third before the Barons got a late goal with 4:23 remaining.

Scoring in the contest was Mathew Apsassin, Nolan Lagace (2), Jacob Lang (2), and Levi Johnson.

Next for the Trackers is a game on Saturday in Peace River.
