Two people are dead following collision on Highway 29

A minivan was travelling toward Fort St. John and allegedly failed to negotiate a turn in the roadway, causing it to enter the ditch and roll.

Both male occupants were ejected from the vehicle at the time of the crash.

RCMP, Fire rescue and BC Ambulance attended the scene to render assistance.

Despite all lifesaving efforts, both males (aged 27 and 47) succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Names are not being released pending notification of next of kin.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but police are not ruling out that alcohol may have been a factor.
