They’ll also be asked to approve the terms of reference for the review.
“Early approval will allow work on the review to occur over winter months prior to the 2015 construction season,” General Manager for Intergraded Services, Victor Shopland said in a written statement. “The goal of the process review is to provide clear and proactive processes and procedures to streamline the development process for the development community and make the City of Fort St. John a positive contributor to planned and strategic development decisions.”
According to Shopland’s statement, development in Fort St. John has nearly doubled since 2012; whereas during that year that city had $63.7 million in construction projects, as of October 31 2012, they’ve had over $120.8 million in proposed projects.
“With rapid growth in the region expected to continue, the city is committed to ensuring the development community continues to receive excellent service.,” Shopland concludes.
City Council is set to commence at 3:00 p.m. on November 10 2014.
