Former Fort St. John Mayor running in federal byelection

Voters head to the polls in Ontario’s Whitby-Oshawa riding and in the west-central Alberta riding of Yellowhead.

The government candidate in Yellowhead is the former Mayor of Fort St. John, Jim Eglinski.

Both have been Conservative strongholds, but the Tories hope to hold though the race is expected to be tight in Whitby-Oshawa, which was long-held by the late Finance Minister Jim Flaherty.
