Knights of Columbus Flyers sweep weekend games against Fort McMurray

In the first game the Barons opened the scoring, however the Flyers scored twice before the first period came to an end as they held a 2-1 lead. The teams traded goals in the second and the Barons tied the game in the third, but the Flyers got two late goals to take the 5-3 win.

Scoring for the Flyers were Aiden Craig-Steele (2), Jason Lee, Connor Bowie, and Kolton Leslie.

In Sunday’s tilt the Flyers got all their scoring done early. The team jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the opening frame, but Fort McMurray added a goal in the second and third period.

Finding the back of the net in the game for Fort St. John were Connor Bowie (2), Connor Kindrat, Kolton Leslie, and Reid Jacobs.

The Flyers will have two games at home this weekend. On Friday they’ll skate with the Grande Prairie Knights at 6:45 p.m., and on Sunday they’ll face the Peace River Sabres at 1:30 p.m.
