Mayor William Plowright wins election in Pouce Coupe


The voter turnout this year for Pouce Coupe was 35.7 per cent, a major decrease compared to 51.3 per cent in 2011 and close to the 36.06 per cent in 2008.

Mayor Plowright won his election with 86 votes, compared to Barb Smith with 78 votes and Kimeal Cook with 48 votes.

The two incumbent winners are Councillor Colleen Evans – 116 votes, and Andre Lavoie – 109 votes.

Non-incumbent Councillors include Raymond Johnston with 97 votes, Red Merrick with 112 votes, John Morgan with 90 votes, and Gary Waldie with 86 votes.
