“At the 8:00 p.m. closing of polls for the first advance voting day, 259 electors had registered and voted,” Northern Rockies said in a written statement. “To put this number in perspective, in the first advance voting day in the 2011 election there were 241 voters and in the 2008 election there were only 54 voters.”

Yesterday was also the first time that Northern Rockies electors had the opportunity to vote using an electronic vote tabulator.

Northern Rockies adds, “Many voters noted how easy the new system was to use, and not a single ballot was spoiled during the first voting opportunity.”

General voting day is Saturday November 15th, 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the municipal offices.
