Northern Lights College appoints new interim President and CEO

The NLC Board of Governors has this month appointed Doctor Nicholas Rubidge as interim president to succeed Laurie Rancourt who earlier this year accepted a vice-presidency role with Toronto’s Humber College.

In order to meet first hand with faculty and staff, Dr. Rubidge has already hosted a series of open house luncheons at campuses in Fort St. John, Chetwynd, and Dawson Creek.

He brings more than 30 years of post secondary experience to his new position, having also served as Director of the Colleges and Institutional Planning Branch in Victoria, and as Vice-President of Royal Roads University.

He’s the third person to be appointed NLC President in the past decade.
