Senior Flyers again sweep exhibition games with Fort Nelson

In Saturday’s tilt Fort St. John had a 2-1 lead after the opening frame. The second period was huge for the Flyers as they netted themselves five goals to take a commanding 7-2 lead into the third. Both teams traded a goal in the final 20 minutes making the final 8-3.

Scoring for the Flyers in the game were Robbie Sidhu, Cole Calliou, Adam Horst, Jeff Fast, Brennen Giroux, Josh Bruha (2), and Taylor Greatrex.

In Sunday’s game Fort St. John picked up right where the left off the night prior. The Flyers jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first stanza, and built on their advantage to take a 4-1 lead into the final period. Fort St. John put up five goals in the third to take the 9-1 win.

Finding the back of the net for the Flyers were Jeff Shipton, Adam Horst (3), Cole Calliou, Taylor Greatrex, Robbie Sidhu, Joey Massingham, and Josh Bruha.

The Flyers next game will be on Saturday Night in Spirit River as they take on the rival Rangers for the first time this season.
