The cost associated with vendors tables as well as raffle tickets sold at the event go directly to the school.

“Proceeds from the event will help fund [a] local author to come to Taylor Elementary School and help students illustrate a book per classroom,” Event Organizer Tara Corbett explained in an emailed response.

Corbett adds, “There are roughly 32 vendors, many homemade products, as well as Scentsy, Epicure and a few other companies.”

Raffle ticket, a cost of $5 for one or three for $10, will be available for purchase at the door.

The last time this event was held, it managed to raise $750 for the elementary school, according to Corbett.

There will also be ample opportunities for you to donate to the community’s Christmas hamper.

The shopping event, originally slated for the elementary school’s gymnasium, will take place at the Taylor Curling Rink, located on 9888 Cherry Avenue Drive.

Different vendors will be there each day, with your first opportunity to participate in some local Christmas shopping on Saturday November 29, 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The next day, November 30, the event will run 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
