Unusual number of dogs being stolen in the South Peace

They also ask dog owners to report any unusual vehicles or people.

The SPCA believe this is focused on large breed purebred or purebred looking dogs.  If your dog is an outdoor dog, make sure the dog is secured in garages or outbuildings to protect them while you are away.

The SPCA says this is similar to a pattern of thefts that occurred in this region in the fall of 2011, that saw over one hundred dogs stolen.

If you have any information to share, contact the SPCA or your local RCMP detachment.
