NPSS senior girls take tenth at volleyball provincials

In the round robin the team played Kelowna, Moscrop, and North Surrey. The games against Kelowna and Moscrop were a struggle for the Ooks as they lost by scores of 25-10, 25-19, and 25-16, 25-16 respectively.

The girls got into the win column in their game against North Surrey. The Ooks won in two sets by scores of 25-18, and 25-20.

The 1-2 finish in pool C pitted NPSS against Elgin in the first round of the A playoffs. The Ooks lost the game 25-21, 25-15, and 25-19.

Following the defeat the girls were moved over to the B side of the playoffs where they did quite well for themselves. Their first game had them square off against Mount Baker. The Ooks won 25-19, and 25-20. They followed that up with another victory, this time over Mount Boucherie 25-13, 25-18.

The win pitted NPSS against Terry Fox in the B side finals to decide the ninth and tenth place finishers. Unfortunately for NPSS they wound up falling in the game 33-35, 25-23, and 15-11.
