Beaverlodge RCMP is continuing to investigate a sexual assault that took place on June 11. Investigators have been unable to find the suspect up to this point.

The assault happened in Hommy Park just after at 8 p.m. on June 11. A woman was walking through the park when she passed a male who proceeded to assault her minutes afterwards. The male was carrying a knife at the time which was also used.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his early 20’s. He was wearing a black hoodie and jeans, and is said to have been about 5’10” with shoulder length, greasy, wavy hair and blue eyes.

The female involved was treated for non life threatening injuries.
