City to host Wheelchair sports for all this summer

Wheelchair Basketball is coming this summer to the City of Fort St. John.  With the help of PacificSport, KidSport and B.C. Wheelchair Sports, the games will be running every second Friday: July 10th, 24th, August 7th, and 21st, at the North Peace Arena from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

The Wheelchair sports program is open for everyone to try. While there is no lower age limit a child should be large enough to handle the chair and so age 6 and over would be recommended. There are a limited number of sportchairs available and City staff will rotate participants to ensure equal playing time.

These will be drop-in sessions and cash only at a cost of $3 for adults and $2 for children under the age of 17.

For more information is posted on the City website, or contact: [email protected] or call, 250.785.4592.
