Stage North seeking talent for upcoming season

Shakespeare with a Hocus Pocus twist, a dam and a stick of dynamite, and sleazy politicians in sleazy motels.

The first of two weekends of auditions for the 2015-16 Stage North season is set to start Saturday morning, and the company is looking for talent to join its troupe.


Auditions will be held for a trio of show’s on the schedule for this year, which include:

Show Dates: Oct 30, 31, Nov 5, 6 & 7, 2015
The production is looking for 12 to 20 actors of various ages for both male & female roles.

This tragicomedy will put a Hocus Pocus twist on one of Shakespeare’s most famous plays involving a band of three witches.

That Dam Show!
Show Dates: Mar 4, 5, 10, 11 & 12, 2016
The production is seeking 15 to 20 people of various ages, both male & female, along with musicians and First Nations storyteller. Bring your own music and be prepared to improvise.

This political satire show is an update on an original 1978 Stage North script and production by local residents.

Unnecessary Farce
Show Dates: May 12, 13 & 14, 2016
This production is looking for male & females ranging in age from their 20s to their 50s.

The comedy, written by Paul Slade Smith, about a crooked mayor being spied on in a motel by two cops.

Auditions start at 10 a.m. June 13 and run until 4 p.m. at The Space at 11520 East Bypass Road.

Stage North is also looking for anyone interested in building sets or working behind the scenes when the curtain drops.

Auditions will also take place next Saturday, June 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., also at 11520 East Bypass Road.
