City alters program scheduling and locations

The City of Fort St. John has revised the scheduling of a number of programs as a means of reducing the impact of job action on the public. A number of programs have had alterations made including the adult multi sport league, wheelchair sports, and Camp Kinetic to name a few.

The adult multi sport league will be on Wednesday night’s through August 12 or until further notice. Events will be at the Pomeroy Sport Centre at the east rink from 5-6 p.m.

Wheelchair sports will held every second Friday with sessions being held July 24, August 7, and August 21. Gatherings will be at the east rink of the Pomeroy Sport Centre from 5-6 p.m.

Camp Kinetic week long day camps will be held from August 17-21, and August 24-28. Times will be from 8:00-5:30 p.m. at the downstairs meeting room at the Pomeroy Sport Centre.

Tumble time and play ball will be at the Pomeroy Sport Centre every Monday through August 31 from 9:00-12 noon with the exception of BC Day, and Thursdays through August 27 from 3-6 p.m.

Camp Caboodle week long day camps will be held from August 17-21, and August 24-28. Times will be from 8:00-5:30 p.m. at the upstairs meeting room at the Pomeroy Sport Centre.

Youth advisory council teen nights are being held Wednesday evenings through August 26 from 4:30-6:00 p.m. Those involved are asked to visit the webpage for the upcoming schedule.

Play in the Park is going on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Today’s event will be held at Pickell Park at 106 Street and 102 Avenue, and the July 28 event will be at Duncan Cran Park at 89 Avenue and 80 Street. Those involved are asked to visit the webpage for the upcoming schedule.
