Site C job fairs that were planned to have been taking place on July-28-30 in Tumbler Ridge, Fort St. John, and Chetwynd have been postponed until September. The move comes five days after a disturbance was created by an individual at a Site C job fair in Dawson Creek, and another man was shot and killed outside near the event.
In a release posted on the Site C website BC Hydro will be reviewing their policies and procedures for open events. It’s noted that the intent is to ensure the safety of staff and the public.
Hydro says new information on the postponed events will be provided “as soon as possible.”
