Fort St. John Fighters compete at World MMA Championships

Two Fort St. John Athletes are in Las Vegas for the World Championships of Amateur MMA  this week.

Dylan Lielke won his first fight on Tuesday beating his competitor from South Africa in the third round by a TKO.  Unfortunately in his second fight of the tournament Lielke lost to a competitor from Italy knocking him out of the event.

Jamie Herrington won her first fight against a competitor from Sweden in the third round with a arm bar move.  Jamie will now move onto the semi-finals in her division. Her next fight will be Friday against a competitor from Germany.

Overall only seven amateur Canadian fighters will be attending, and two of which being Lielke, and Herrington.
