If you’re looking for the scoop on BC Hydro’s plans for construction on its Site C project, the first of five public open houses kicks off tonight.
The Taylor Community Hall will play host to the first open house set to begin at 6 p.m. and run through to 8:30 p.m.
A second open house in Fort St. John will run on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Pomeroy Hotel & Conference Centre.
Hydro announced the open houses in early June.
The Crown utility says the open houses will provide information to residents on construction information and notifications, and that it wants input on how residents want to be informed about construction progress.
Hydro says it will continue to post updates to www.sitecproject.com, provide updates through Twitter, and take inquiries via telephone and email.
Open houses are also set for next week as follows:
Hudson’s Hope – July 14, 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the Pearkes Centre
Chetwynd – July 15, 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the Recreation Centre
Dawson Creek – July 16, 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at Fixx Urban Grill in the Stonebridge Hotel
Hydro says it will also hold job fairs in the coming months Fort St. John, Chetwynd, and Tumbler Ridge.
