At yesterday’s City Council meeting, Council approved the tender submitted by Knappett Industries for two water main looping projects. The tendered price was $312,790.80, and the project has a budget of $900,000.

With contingency and engineering costs added on top of the tender, the totals leave a projected surplus of $534,104.

The money from the project will be coming from the water utility reserve, and left over cash will remain in the reserve for future projects.
