Orca LNG has been granted a 25 year natural gas export licence by the National Energy Board. The licence has a maximum term quantity of 901 billion cubic metres.

The licence is subject to the approval of the Governor in Council.

In their review the NEB determined the quantity of gas proposed to be exported by the company is surplus to Canada’s needs, and is confident the resource base can accommodate Canadian demand.
