The Charlie Lake Fire Department responded to a residential fire early Friday evening in the Charlie Lake area.

The home on fire is across the highway from the Ministry of Mines office in Charlie Lake.  Part of the Alaska Highway was down to single lane traffic in both directions while firefighters attended the fire.

We have been unable to speak with officials from the Charlie Lake Fire Department for more information.
