One man has been charged with attempted murder after an early morning knife attack in Charlie Lake.
Early Thursday morning, the Fort St. John RCMP were called to a house party on Paradise Lane in Charlie Lake. Peter Real Hamelin has been charged with attempted murder after an altercation with the homeowner.
Hamelin is alleged to have threatened to kill the victim immediately before slicing the victim’s neck with his knife. The 33 year-old victim was taken to hospital with serious but non life threatening laceration to his neck.
The victim was later released from hospital, but may require further treatment or surgery.
Hamelin appeared in court Friday and was remanded in custody until his next appearance on August 26.
