Motorcyclist seriously injured in accident on Alaska Highway

The driver of a motorcycle was seriously injured after the bike he was driving collided with a boat trailer on the Alaska Highway. According to an RCMP release the accident occurred at the turn off to Inga Lake this morning.

The motorcyclist was the only one injured at the scene. The highway was closed while an emergency helicopter arrived to transport the individual to hospital. The extent of the injuries are unknown, aside from being serious in nature.

A report from police says that the highway will re-open “soon”, however there has been no confirmation at this point from police or Drive BC that it has since opened.
