B.C. Hydro is currently working to restore two power outages in the Fort St. John area.  One outage is affecting 650 customers north of Fort St. John.  Hydro hopes to have power restored to those customers by 4 p.m.

The second outage is in the Charlie Lake area and 52 customers are affected.  Once crews have restored power to the larger outage, they will begin working on this outage.  That could mean another 4 hours before power is restored.

The estimates for both outages could change if crews find major damage.

For information about the outage in your area, you could call 1-888-POWERON.  Expect delays if you need to call.  Hydro is currently dealing with a major storm in the lower mainland, which caused more than 500,000 customers to be without power at the peak of the storm.  B.C. Hydro’s website is still down.
