A man arrested by Beaverlodge RCMP in relation to a armed robbery is now facing several charges, including robbery with a firearm.

Angus Byron Ferguson of Horse Lake is also being charged for counts of using a firearm in the commission of an offence, pointing a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, carrying a weapon for a dangerous purpose, breach of a recognizance, and obstruction.

He is due to appear in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on October 14th.

The incident occurred at the Hythe Bigway grocery store on September 21st.

Armed with a handgun, a man had entered the store and approached the till demanding money.

He then fled without any money before police arrived.

Nobody was harmed in the incident.
