2017 will be a big year for Fort St. John. Not only because it will be Canada’s 150th birthday, but it also is the year many other landmarks celebrate big milestones.

That year will mark the anniversaries of:

  • North Peace Community Centre (25th)
  • Stage North (40th)
  • Arts Council (50th)
  • Lido Theatre (60th)
  • Alaska Highway Construction (75th)
  • Canada’s Confederation (150th)

Arts Council Board Member Sue Popesku says they’re starting planning now, as the celebrations are going to be big.

At least 5 plans have already been decided, but other ones are going to be discussed tonight.

Robin Holstein, of the Alaska Highway Journal and website, will also be a guest speaker tonight.

If you’re interesting in the conversation, head down to 10320 94 Avenue at 7 PM tonight!
