The City of Fort St. John has approved a motion to enter a one year $15,000 sponsorship agreement with Progress Energy Canada Ltd., with opportunities for renewal from year to year.

This agreement will give them the status of Title Sponsor for the 2015/16 skating program.

‘Progress Energy Resources’, as they used to be called, originally entered into a “Future Champion of the Enerplex” Sponsorship Agreement with the City of Fort St. John on August 31, 2010.

That agreement was for $10,000 per year, and expired on August 31 of this year.

The Sunday afternoon skating sponsorship was originally held by Devon Canada Corporation, but the contract was terminated earlier this spring as their assets are now controlled by CNRL.
