Sgt. Ed Reinink of Dawson Creek RCMP says the team is thankful for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect who committed armed robbery at the George Dawson Inn on August 26th.

The man had committed a second armed robbery in the Grande Prairie area a few days later, and was observed on video wearing the same clothing as he had worn in the George Dawson Inn robbery.

On September 14th, Dawson Creek members arrested the 47-year-old for armed robbery.

A hearing was held for the male, and he was subsequently released on the Dawson Creek charges.

Unfortunately for the man, Grande Prairie RCMP extended a warrant to BC, which resulted in the male being re-arrested and remanded in custody to appear in Grande Prairie to answer to their charges.
