The search for the new bench boss of the Fort St. John Senior Flyers is off to a slow start. While the hunt has taken a temporary back seat with the Flyers brass being involved with the U17 hockey challenge, the team has yet to receive any applicants for the position.

Club general manager Lee Hartman said despite the slow start, the team does have a few “irons in the fire”, and will ramp up the search in the next few weeks should interest in the position not increase.

The Flyers are hoping to have a head coach in time for the start of the team’s training camp on October 5.
