Over 1,500 customers are without power northwest of Fort St. John.  The outage covers an area from Charlie Lake to Highway 29 and north along the Alaska Highway.

According to B.C. Hydro, the outage started shortly after 10 a.m. and the cause is still unknown at this time.

It is also unknown when the power will be restored.
