It’s officially September, and The Weather Network released their official 2015 Fall Forecast today to get ready for the upcoming colder seasons ahead of Canadians.
So what’s in store for the Peace Region, exactly?
“For the fall as a whole, and the winter as a whole, we expect above average temperatures, most likely below normal precipitation. No dramatic relief to the overall dry pattern.” says Doug Gillham, a meteorologist with The Weather Network.
Surprisingly, The Weather Network projects eastern Canada to be warmer than the west coast for the first bit of fall.
But, it won’t be long before the fall weather here feels more mild than chilly – by that time, the east coast will be getting ready for some seriously cold weather.
Their winter preview predicts much of the same weather for western Canada – above average temperatures and below average precipitation.
