The official grand opening ceremonies for the Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum will be happening this Saturday.

Dr. Philip J. Currie will join those digging for fossils at the bone bed site from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM, on both the 25th and the 26th.

Comedian Dan Ackroyd is going to be in attendance, and will be among the participants in a Harley Davidson Ride from the motorcycle dealership in Grande Prairie, to the Museum in Wembley.

Every participant will have free admission and a tour with the Aykroyd family.

Dan and his wife Donna will be the guests of honor at a Grande Prairie black tie ball on the evening of the 26th.

The unveiling of the museum cornerstone, and naming of the Powell Path at the Pipestone Creek site will take place that day as well.
