VICTORIA — Corey Small and Dan Dawson both scored in overtime as the Victoria Shamrocks beat the Peterborough Lakers 7-5 on Wednesday night in Game 5 of the Mann Cup.

Victoria now leads the best-of-seven series for Canada’s national senior lacrosse championship 3-2.

Mitch Jones, Cory Conway, Steve Priolo, Scott Ranger and Rhys Duch also scored for the Shamrocks. Aaron Bold made 32 saves for the win.

Shawn Evans had a goal and two assists for Peterborough, while Cory Vitarelli, Curtis Dickson, Mark Steenhuis and Turner Evans also scored. Matt Vinc stopped 39 shots.
