MONTREAL — A 76-year-old woman is dead after being struck by a transit bus in Montreal.

The accident happened at about 4 p.m. in the city’s Cote-des-Neiges neighbourhood.

A police spokesman says the vehicle was turning when it collided with the woman, who died of her injuries in hospital.

The bus driver was treated for shock.

No names have been released.
