The BC Forest Safety Council, working with Canfor, Drop It And Drive and Northern Health, has announced it will present distracted driving prevention education seminars and supervisor workshops in Terrace and Fort St. John.
BCFSC said in a press release that “these free sessions will make you think about distracted driving in a different way and better prepare drivers to make it home safely,” using “stories and science over statistics.”
The seminar in Fort St. John is on next Friday, November 6th at the Northern Grand Hotel. The seminar is from 8:30 until 11:45 AM, and the workshop is later that same day from 1:00 until 4:30 PM.
While this seminar is open to all drivers and people who have an interest in distracted driving prevention, the BCFSC says those who attend from the forest industry will be given priority.
The interactive workshop following is designed to help safety professionals reinforce seminar messages throughout the year with customize-able and easy-to-create 10-20 minute road and workplace safety presentations.
Those attending the workshop must have attended the seminar.
