WorkBC is making a stop at Chetwynd Secondary School this afternoon on their Find Your Fit tour.

Find Your Fit is an interactive event where individuals of all ages can find out about careers in demand throughout the province and find resources for all sorts of different careers.

It is also an integral part of seven Regional LNG Energy Seminars currently taking place throughout BC.

“The government is committed to preparing a skilled workforce that our growing economy needs,” said Education Minister Mike Bernier, who also serves as the MLA for Peace River South – where Chetwynd is located.

“The Find Your Fit tour stop in Chetwynd is a great chance for young people in the South Peace to get a hands-on feel for several potential career paths,” he said.

The BC government says parents, teachers and career counsellors may also benefit from the event, as they look for ways to educate and support youth in their career exploration.

More than 35,000 students have taken part in the tour so far, most recently in Vancouver and Mackenzie.

The booth will be open to the public from 3 PM until 7 PM.
