According to the Facebook page of the Fort Nelson Yeti, the senior hockey club will go on hiatus for the current season. The possibility of putting a team together in the future will be reviewed next season.

The post states that not being able to find a home in a formal league, and playing games against significantly larger cities has been problematic. Issues have also arose when it comes to player commitment when the team plays only two home games a season.

The team passed on their thanks to sponsors and fans for their support of the past three years.
