A man is facing charges after an armed robbery took place in Grande Prairie.

Gabriel Wilson, a 33-year-old man from Grande Prairie, has been charged with:

  • Robbery with a Firearm,
  • Disguise with Intent,
  • Possess Loaded Prohibited Firearm,
  • Possess Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

The armed robbery happened on Saturday night, when RCMP responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Mac’s store in Mission Heights.

A man entered the store with a firearm, and demanded money and cigarettes.

Further investigation led police to an apartment complex on 96 St., where a male was taken into custody.

Wilson remains in police custody and is appearing in court today.
